Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage for preferences (e.g. cookie consent choice and login session tokens).
2. How we use cookies
We group cookies into:
- Essential — required for the site to function. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Analytics— help us understand how visitors use the marketing site so we can improve it. Only loaded if you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner.
3. Cookies we use
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
tradekit_token (local storage) | Keeps you signed in to your account after login. | Until logout or expiry | Essential |
tradekit_cookie_consent (local storage) | Remembers your cookie preference (essential only vs accept all). | Until you clear browser storage | Essential |
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Measures site traffic and usage patterns via Google Analytics. | Up to 2 years (Google) | Analytics (consent required) |
4. Managing your preferences
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you choose Essential only or Accept all. The Google tag loads on every page for technical setup, but analytics_storage stays denied until you choose Accept all (Google Consent Mode).
You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Clearing essential storage will log you out.
To opt out of Google Analytics across sites, visit Google's opt-out browser add-on.
5. Third-party cookies
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. Their use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We only enable Google Analytics when you consent.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove technologies. Check the last updated date at the top of this page.
